Halloween

October 31, 2006

Today was a pretty slow day. We started by going to Hartwell to check out a slow computer. Since the owner was still using the computer at the moment, we went back to Edwards.

Clone Wars

October 19, 2006

Today was another somewhat uneventful day. By the time the day was done, we had only attempted two tickets, and managed to finish neither of the two goals.

A day off? I think not.

October 17, 2006

I didn’t expect much today. As it was the college kids’ day off (mid-semester break was Monday and today) I didn’t think there would be many people in ITS, and that there would be very little work to do. I was quite wrong.

Easy Does It

October 12, 2006

Today began with a free donut courtesy of Tanasee, who had returned from her vacation. While I was eating the donut, Tanasee, Steve, and myself discussed the events on Tuesday.

The day officially started when Steve and myself walked over to Hartwell. (I don’t know why we go to Hartwell so much. Perhaps it’s because it’s the furthest building from Dailey, maybe it’s because people from there know Steve well, or possibly everyone in the Business and Dance sections of the school fail at using computers.) We still had two tickets to complete from previous days: the cart still needed updating and the computer that wouldn’t boot up still needed to be fixed.

Steve had to take care of at least five tickets. Since Tanasee has been on vacation and Shaun has moved in to temporarily take her spot, Steve has gotten a lot of tickets. Although this is bad for him (because he needs to do more work) it offers me with a greater chance to learn about the career path and computers in general.

October 5th

October 10, 2006

Today was a mostly uneventful day, due to the Pep Rally at Brockport High.

We began the day by going over to Hartwell to upgrade a media cart. When we got there, it turned out that the cart was checked out, even though the secretary said it would not be. However, it was not her fault. The professor who took it out said he would grab a different cart, and then ended up grabbing that cart instead. I know professors have a lot on their minds, but I think they need to be more careful with what they do with technology-related items.
